Trip introduction
The Langtang region is the third most popular trekking area in Nepal. Langtang has many things going for it: it’s close to Kathmandu, there’s a wide range of scenery, you get right into the mountains within a couple of days, and there are lots of possible trek combinations. For the Langtang trek, you will pass Tamang villages to a collection of high alpine pastures, glaciers, and peaks on the border with Tibet. This trek is a combination of Langtang trek, Gosainkunda Lake, and Helambu trek together. Hence, the Langtang region is one of the most popular trekking regions for those wishing a short trek from Kathmandu into the Himalayas influenced by the Tibetan lifestyle. Moreover, accompanied by the varieties of rhododendron, bamboo forests, majestic waterfalls, and the snow-capped Himalayas make the trek one of the most diverse treks nearby Kathmandu.
